An Evening of Good Taste

As a bit of an contrast to our last highly successful toilet twinning event, we held an evening of good taste in support of the Brighter Futures appeal for radiotherapy services at GWH. Guests were treated to a welcoming glass of sparkling Cava followed by four distinctive wines from our own Magnum Wine shop in Wood Street. Tasting notes teased as guests had to guess which description matched the wine in their glass.

There followed a delicious supper of Chicken & Chorizo paella with green salad and a varied cheeseboard to follow. To round off the evening there was a further quiz of wine related questions and an innovative "wine auction" raffle that gave guests a taste of what a premier cru wine auction is like.

The evening kicked off this years Old Town Festival and raised £300 for Brighter Futures Appeal. Thanks go to all those who helped prepare, cook, serve and clear up what was a highly enjoyable evening.
