Good News! - Grants Awarded

Times may not be great for the country at the moment; however we are delighted to let you know that the Community Centre @ Christ Church has been awarded THREE grants¬

 

We have just received the amazing news that we've been awarded COVID-19 emergency funding, administered by the National Lottery Community Fund on behalf of the government.  

 

This will help to take the pressure off us with regard to running costs for the next 6 months while we respond to the challenges the centre faces due to the impact of coronavirus. It also gives us an opportunity to keep the centre open for the community with the capacity to continue running vital community activities at the same level we were previously, when we are able to so inline with government guidance.

We are both relieved and delighted in equal measure! 

The other two have come from the Wiltshire and Swindon Sports Partnership and Green Square. These are to be spent on our Tuesday afternoon teas which provide a vital means of socialisation for older people and particularly those suffering with dementia. 

We look forward to being able to open our doors again to the wider community and carry on providing activities as we were able to before.
